Lord Jesus Christ, you brought all manner of
people together to form the first church,
bring our cluster of churches together, we pray.
As you once longed to gather the people of Jerusalem under your sheltering
care, so cluster us beneath your loving gaze.
Give to us all patience, purpose, and generosity of spirit
that each of our congregations may grow
into your dreams for our becoming.
Most of all, dear Lord, strengthen our individual devotion to you so that,
through the power of the Holy Spirit,
our love and regard for one another may intensify as well.
