Sandhills Cluster Mission Statement

The Sandhills Episcopal Cluster of Churches will organize and work together in collaboration with the diocese of North Carolina to develop a new mission strategy for the Sandhills Region encompassing Moore, Richmond, and Scotland Counties.

The Churches that commit themselves to the Cluster will jointly pray for God's guidance and grace to help them with the following goals:

  1. Provide sacramental ministries as necessary for the congregations.

  2. Use the data gathered by the Diocesan supported Percept Program as a means to define their specific mission.

  3. Develop programs for evangelism, education, pastoral care, stewardship, and service/servant ministries for the members.

  4. Developing Christian Formation by offering special study and prayer groups, enrichment programs, and other activities for spiritual growth and nurture.

  5. Develop programs that will allow the youth to discover their ministries as members of the Church in its fullest sense.

  6. Provide opportunities for joint worship and other events to enrich the lives of the members and to reach out to others.

  7. Share openly their full financial reports with each other and seek ways to increase their budget for the mission of Christ's work in their communities.

  8. Develop effective means of communication that will keep the members of the churches and the Diocese informed and share our learnings with emerging clusters in the Diocese.

  9. Strive to bring unity, peace, and joy of Christ to our congregations.
